The Century High School Class of 1984 monthly update March 12, 2005 Hello Everyone,      Do you remember where you were 21 years ago today, March 12 ?  I was sitting on the sidelines at the Minot State Dome watching the CHS Boy's Basketball team win the State Title.  That was a "Remember When" for most of us.     There have been a lot of new additions to the website I hope you check out.  There is a page called New Stuff that will list the newest information added.  A lot of CHS athletics records have been added.  I am working on the records from 1984.  I plan on adding the CHS girl's track all time top five from 1976 to 1991.  I also have the old Bismarck Public Schools Athletic programs from 1984.  They have the school records from boy's basketball, wresting, boy's swimming & football in them.  I am trying to get a hold of the programs from 1985.  They would have the records from our senior year.  If anyone reading this has copies of the 1985 programs please let me know.       Again please share your ideas, pictures, articles, family news and any Bismarck news.   REMEMBER WHEN... BIRTHDAYS Randy Palmer Roger Palmer BISMARCK NEWS CHS Hockey Coach, Mike Wald, moves from the bench to the sidelines next year.  Yes that's the same Mike Wald from the CHS Class of 1985.  Check out the Bismarck Tribune article. New census figures show North Dakota is losing more children than any other state in the country.  North Dakota's population of children ages 5 to 17 dropped from 120,149 in 2000 to 103,201 in 2004, a 14.1 percent decrease. ** I could use some help here.  Send me any interesting news from Bismarck.  New stores, restaurants.  Are the old hang outs still there! **   CHS HAPPENINGS The Century Girl's basketball team will play Mandan for the State Championship tonight. The Patriots are the only team to beat the Braves this season, downing the two-time defending state champions twice on the year. Unfortunately for the Patriots they lost to Mandan 48-35.  This was the Braves 3rd straight State Title. In the WDA Boy's Swimming Tournament CHS & BHS tied fourth place.  The State meet is today.
