Hello Everyone!
Well here goes...The first of many
newsletters.
We just had our 20
year reunion. It was a three day event over the 4th of July weekend.
I missed the first day but heard a couple of teachers showed up. Friday
there was a Best Ball golf tournament and the gathering that evening at the BSU
student union was a great chance to catch up with "old" faces. :) Saturday
started with a tour of CHS. Actually we had a personal tour guide, Dan
Trottier. Dan is now a guidance counselor at Century. He was a great
guide full of lots of interesting stories. Thanks Dan!
In case you haven't heard or seen a lot has changed at
the school. There's no pit. It was filled in and is now the lunch
room. The lockers are now in the library.

The library is now in the
English department. And there's a second floor and a remodeled gym and a
second gym near the girl's locker room. You can see the floor plan and
some library pictures at the school's website
www.chs.bismarck.k12.nd.us.
Saturday afternoon was the picnic. It was great
to see everyone's children. That evening was the dinner and dance.
Roger Palmer put together a fun slide show of old pictures and music.
Thanks Roger! Then the walls came down and we joined BHS and SMCHS for a
dance. Everyone had a great time catching up and getting reacquainted.
I know I did. Thanks to all who helped on the reunion committee!
I will be adding a lot more to this site in the coming
days and weeks. Pictures, videos, messages boards, forms & more. I
would love any contributions from you.
In case you missed the 10 year or 20 year reunions
pictures will be posted soon. We would love to have more pictures!
There were a lot more folks that showed up then are shown. I know I saw
other cameras there. So please share your pictures with us. Email them to
tammy@century84.com.
Or you can send them via snail mail. I am also working on getting the
video "A Look Back" on line. It was produced by Mike Lindblom for the 10
year reunion.
The message/bulletin board is also being worked on.
But I need some suggestions here. Any ideas for categories.
There will also be a personalized form for all of
us to fill out. Unlike other sites out there you won't have to pay to get
someone's personal page. Some ideas are name, where are you living now, kids, hobbies
and what you've been doing since graduation. Also hopefully a place to
post a picture.
Well that's all for now. I truly hope you all
enjoy this site. And again please let me know if you have any suggestions
to make this a better site. We would love your ideas and pictures.
Until next time,
Tammy (Thomson) Forsyth
