The Century High School Class of 1984 monthly update
February 2005
Hello Everyone,
Well now that the holidays are over it's
back to the grindstone. I have started back on my search for classmates.
So any help I can get would be great. Check out the missing pages and see
if you know where any of the missing classmates are.
We have added a few more 1984 folks to
the profiles. It's great to read them. Sometimes they spark a
forgotten memory. I had forgotten our journalism class won the trivia bowl
until I read Mark Stoltz's profile. I don't think I contributed much to us
winning first. But we sure had a good time beating the other schools.
I am looking to add the school records from our senior year to the website.
But I need to get copies of the Bismarck Public Schools Athletic programs from
1985. If anyone saved these please let me know. The records set our
senior year should be in there.
Remember, your input is greatly appreciated!
Until Next Time,
Tammy (Thomson) Forsyth

BISMARCK NEWS
KFYR radio moved from it's original downtown
location to East Rosser. KFYR radio broadcast from the corner of Broadway
Ave and 4th Street in downtown Bismarck since October 1925. The radio
station signed off at 9am January 20th and started back up at their new studio.
The following is a excerpt from an
article in the Bismarck Tribune written by a Century student.
"North Dakota has the highest underage drinking rate in the United States. The
high school I go to has the highest drug and alcohol abuse rate in the state of
North Dakota. Do you people know why? It's because we have nothing better
to do..."
** I could use some help here.
Send me any interesting news from Bismarck. New stores, restaurants.
Are the old hang outs still there?

CHS HAPPENINGS
The Century Centahnas performed great at
the North Dakota State Dance & Drill competition in Minot at the MSU Dome.
They took 2nd in Dance, 3rd in Kick, 5th in Pom. They beat the BHS
Demonettes in Dance and lost to the West Fargo Pakatahnas by 2.5 points in Dance
very close to a State Championship Title. Congrats! Thanks to a
junior Centahna for sending me this.
** If you know how the sports teams
are doing please pass it on. Or any other CHS news
