The Century High School Class of 1984 monthly update
June 2005
Hello Everyone,
Well the summer season is upon us. I hope most of you have
had a warmer spring than us. It's been unseasonably cold here in the
nation's capital. I've decided to skip the newsletters in July and August.
I figured most folks will be vacationing and spending time at the lakes than
indoors on their computers.
I am going to try to finish mailing the last of the
letters out to the classmates at the end of the alphabet. And I will
re-email the folks I haven't heard from. Hopefully we can shorten the
missing list and up the profile list. It looks like the Class of 1985 has
surpassed us.
It sure has been fun to read what everyone is up to.
Make sure you fill out a profile, it's nice to know you are still out there.
You can answer as many or few questions as you like.
I would also like to add more pictures this fall.
So please mail or email me your summer vacation pictures. It would be nice
to see everyone & their kid's.
Good Luck and have fun class of 1985 at your 20 year
reunion. Can't
wait to see the pictures.
Everyone have a great summer and I'll see you in the fall!
Tammy
REMEMBER WHEN...
We had our senior kegs at Menoken Grove.
My dad let me take his white Cadillac that night. It ended up raining and we
covered the inside and the outside of the car with mud. Thanks Crick for
getting the car safely home! We got home at 6am just as my
grandparents were leaving. What a sight I must have been. I never
got in trouble or had to clean the car. (sorry Tina) To this day
that is one question I would like to ask my dad why did he let me have the car
knowing where we were going. My dad was very strict. I know
why he didn't punish me. He figured going to track practice that morning
would be punishment enough. IT WAS.

BISMARCK NEWS
Say good-bye to the 40 year old Bismarck Airport
Terminal. It is being torn down. The new $15 million facility has
opened. The terminal is being taken apart piece by piece with much of the
material being recycled.
Fishing on Lake Sakakawea
just got a little tougher this summer. Because of the low water level many
boat ramps are unusable. Some islands are above the water line and are connected
to the shore. This could cancel some fishing tournaments. One angler
says the low water level has changed the terrain and fishing buffs have to learn
the lake all over again.
The Pentagon recommended the Grand Forks Air Force Base lose its air refueling
tankers and most of it's personnel. That loss could cost the area nearly
5,000 jobs.
** I could use some help here.
Send me any interesting news from Bismarck. New stores, restaurants.
Are the old hang outs still there!
